Track Car Rental - E36 BMW 3 Series Coupe Race Car (Spec3)

Rent our Spec3 (E36 BMW 3 series) track car for a day or a whole event!

Fee Info:

Rental is based on a weekend rental cost (see below), plus actual mileage to the track it's being rented for, at a cost of $1 per mile (round trip) - Pick your track in the menu to get total cost.

All fees include tax

• Single Day - $600
• 2 day discount - $1050 (default price shown on this page, email if you need single or 3+ days)
• Additional days on-top of 2-day rate - $425 per additional day
  
• If you want to get a discount, you can get 20% off the travel fee, by requesting to rent for one of the non-race weekends with Hooked On Driving Mid-Atlantic on Our Schedule

What's included with the rental fee?

• Delivery and Pick-Up of the car
• Walk-thru and setup of the car for your needs
• Fuel for the entire rental period
• Track-side support/labor for any adjustments to the car or consumable changes
• Air-conditioned trailer (or RV, or tent - event dependent) to relax in between sessions
• All data and video capture from your sessions or coach's sessions in the car (see below for data capture info)

• Adjustable driver's seat to fit most body types and heights!
• Car has CoolShirt system for driver cooling - if you have a CoolShirt of your own, it'll plug right in. If you do not, we can get you a shirt (that is yours to keep and use in the future) at our cost - learn more about CoolShirt systems here
  

Optional Add-Ons

• Coaching based on data in paddocks - $250
• In-Car coaching (if the event permits it, check schedule for SCR attended events, and check with the event organizer otherwise) - $400 ($150 discount!)
  
• Please note that if you have no prior track experience, in-car coaching is required

What do I need to provide besides the rental fee?

• If you're doing more than a single day, you'll need to figure out lodging accommodations, reach out to us if you need assistance - We've been to most tracks before and know what hotels/lodging are preferred.
• Appropriate safety gear based on the event organizer's and track's policies - At minimum a helmet, HANS device, and closed toe shoes. - Please reach out to us if you have concerns on this - We can not only check with the organization/track but also we sell this equipment and will provide it at our cost for anyone renting a vehicle from us - Some organizations/tracks will require a fire suit with a car that has a roll cage (as this car does)
• Some info to us about the event you want to use it for, so we can properly prep the right tires/brakes/etc 

What type of events can I use the car for? 

• Legal for the following NASA classes: Spec3, TT5, ST5
• Legal for the following SCCA classes: E Production
• Legal for the following Endurance Racing classes: Lucky Dog (B class usually), Champ Car (580 points to start), WRL (GP2)
• Can also for Track Days; HPDE/DE/TE events, NASA Comp school, SCCA CRE, or instructor schools like MSF or NASA

About the car:

• Built to the Spec3 class standards including:
• 195.9 whp maximum / 2825lbs with ~200lb driver (ballast can be added if you're lighter and plan to race spec3 or ST5/TT5)
• 5 speed manual transmission, Limited Slip rear differential
• Full roll cage, fire suppression, and 6 point harnesses in bucket seats
• Car is equipped with Data and Video capture options. We have 2 GoPros on the roll bar (typically one forward and one backward facing but we can adjust), and your choice of Apex Pro Track Coach System, or AIM Solo + SmartyCam systems for data capture. You will get copies of all data and video captured.
